Firstly let me tell you the actual back ground of the problem..

I tried updating to latest software Nokia supernova 7210 connecting to my laptop with an USB data cable connected to it using Nokia PC suite. All of sudden I received an important call and hence I disconnected the USB data cable to take the call.

Call was done, and I tried connecting to data cable again..yes…there the problem started. I felt like shouting aloud at the caller, and felt like – “Of course, its my mistake” :(.

Didn’t try to any thing, as a software engineer, I understand the problem crystal clear that the Nokia 7210 supernova software corrupted!

Had went to mobile repair shop and told the engineer clearly to update my mobile software to its latest version with some nominal charge of Rs. 150.00. All went well, but lost my phone memory.

There are many other links in which they have given some steps as follows

1. Use some file explorer or Xplorer software to be copied to phone first (Remember it is not working for Symbian OS phones if it is jar and vice-versa with Java based phones.)
2. Go to C:\system\mmcstore and copy the file to local system to open it in note pad to find the already stored password.
3. BUT, it is not working in my case since I already lost my mmcstore file when the mobile engineer updating my mobile with lastest software to my phone due to my mistake.

Still I solved the problem using the following steps and it is called as reverse engineering!

Complete solution to get your memory card password back is below

1. use the same steps above and if you don’t fine mmcstore file then
2. Create one there at C:\system\mmcstore
3. mmcstore file should contain new password whatever you want now since the old password washed away while updating the software or what ever the case
4. now try to access memory card and enter the same password you entered in mmcstore and see the magic.
5. No data will be lost and new password is also available.
6. So, we hacked the phone’s memory and hypnotized memorycard to look in the new mmcstore for password to cross verify.
7. Try and smile now!!!
